Join a Committee

SMPS Members are eligible to participate in any of our committees, and your participation is key in making the SMPS Southeast Michigan chapter a success. There's no better way to get the most out of your membership while interacting with chapter members and making a significant contribution to the organization. No matter which you choose, your efforts will be welcomed and highly appreciated.

If you are interested in joining any of these committees, contact the committee chairs listed below:

Programs Committee

The Programs Committee organizes industry-specific marketing programs and events to educate marketing and business development professionals, industry leadership, and A/E/C professionals. Our programs are based on the Six Domains of Practice for the society and professional services marketing: Marketing Research; Marketing Planning; Client & Business Development; Proposals; Promotional Activity; and Management. Programs involve prominent industry leaders and experts, public officials, media figures, and programs surrounding potential project opportunities. Committee members can market their firms and help determine program topics for the entire organization.

Membership Committee

Membership offers a variety of opportunities to interact with A/E/C leaders. The Committee encourages enrollment through the membership drive and other events throughout the year, welcomes new members by showing them how to get the most out of their membership, and aids with member retention. Members plan and coordinate events including the annual Holiday party, New Member events, and annual member social activities. There are also opportunities to work on diversity programs, mentoring, and developing young professionals.
